The Social Work Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Social Worker (Clinical Lead) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
- Provide Clinical Leadership across multiple specialty areas of Social Work.
- Demonstrate advanced level of skill, knowledge and experience in one or more areas of Social Work in a hospital setting.
- Contribute to the advancement of quality Social Work services and optimal patient care through provision of clinical service, Clinical Leadership for service development, quality improvement, clinical education and research activities.
About the Team
Our Social Work Service delivers care to patients, families and carers throughout our hospital system as well as in our community and rural based health services. Our Social Workers are members of the treating team and provide a broad range of generalist and specialist services including, counselling, care coordination and guidance regarding: diagnosis and illness management, treatment and recovery processes and referral information.
About our Hospital and Health Service
has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
