What’s the role?
- Provide Clinical Leadership, supervision, and support to the headspace Primary Services team across Darwin and Palmerston
- Deliver effective, developmentally appropriate and evidence-based interventions to young people and their families.
- Provide direct clinical care to young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues
- Provide clinical supervision, coaching and skill building with staff working directly with young people and families.
This position is primarily based within the headspace Darwin office, working closely with the other Clinical Leads based in Palmerston to ensure support is provided to the Primary Team. Is this the right role for you?
- Minimum qualification required is an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 5 years' experience in a health-related discipline (Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Registered or Clinical Psychologist, Nursing)
- Registration with relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of, and adherence to professional standards (E.g. AASW for Social Workers)
- Experience in evidence based therapeutic modalities (i.e. CBT and ACT) is essential.
- Effective leadership, mentoring and coaching skills with experience in providing Clinical Leadership and supervision within a multi-disciplinary team.
- A passion for youth mental health, in particular working alongside young Aboriginal people and their families
