This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.
Central Coast Local Health District are looking for a suitably qualified Level 4 Health Clinician, to join their friendly and supportive Whole Family Team. We are offering a Temporary full time position based at the Gateway Centre at Gosford.

About You
  • A tertiary degree and full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Senior Psychologist or eligibility for membership of AASW as a Social Worker, and alignment with relevant professional practice domains.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of current Drug and Alcohol assessments, interventions and models of care, in context of working with families.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, providing clinical supervision and practice development, including advanced skills in communication.
What you'll be doing
  • The Clinical Lead in collaboration with the headspace Manager will provide expert clinical and operational leadership and supervision to Youth Access Team staff.
  • The Clinical Lead is responsible for liaising and providing consultation to staff and managers of other mental and general health teams and relevant external agencies to ensure smooth pathways for clients moving across internal and external service systems.
  • The Clinical Lead is responsible for ensuring that the Youth Access Team complies with professional and organisational obligations in relation to policies and procedures, risk management and notifications in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • The Clinical Lead will also undertake direct clinical work with young people aged 12-25 years experiencing mental health problems and accessing the headspace centres at Wyong and Lake Haven.

This position is responsible for clinical oversight and leadership for the Youth Access Team across headspace Lake Haven and Wyong Centers. This role is integral to the provision of high quality clinical care to young people accessing the Platform and an essential component of the headspace Integrity Framework model and contract.
