Purpose of the role
The person will be responsible for managing the Nursing Care services at Wellcare Australia in ACT to ensure smooth operations by planning, developing and monitoring relevant required care for all participants and supervising all staff members following NDIS Commission Quality and Safeguards Framework and NDIS provider registration requirements.

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic nurse with proven managerial/leadership capabilities to join our multidisciplinary team to provide the best care to our clients and supervise our staff members to ensure they provide similar superior care. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, monitor and lead a team of clinicians providing care to clients.
- Deliver compassionate and evidence-based Nursing Care to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social care needs are met.
- Collaborate with the service support team to ensure the smooth functioning of Nursing Care operations in ACT.
- Work closely with participants, their families, and support networks to develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
- Conduct comprehensive assessment, including risk assessments and ongoing monitoring of symptoms and progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of participants including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists to coordinate care and support to fulfil participants' care needs.
- Train, supervise and support coworkers and support workers on the care needs of participants.
- Provide regular updates to the service team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification, with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
