- Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience + 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances. New Enterprise Agreement rates commence 28 May 2024

Pinangba service is inviting applications from experienced Nurses to join our Ny-Ku Byun Elders Village in Cherbourg in the capacity of Clinical Leader. Ny-Ku Byun, which means ‘Our Home’, is a hidden gem in the countryside, providing high-quality Aged Care to a diverse community. Ny-Ku Byun is a 24 beds facility within the community of Cherbourg, 1 hour inland from Gympie in Qld.
Pinangba is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lead service delivery arm of UnitingCare. The foundations of Pinangba are built from our cultural identity and strong community relationships and partnerships.
Your role
Reporting to the Residential Services Manager, you will provide effective care leadership and oversight of clinical care to facilitate quality care based on assessed residents’ needs that enhances and promotes quality of life. You will play a key role in providing clinical mentoring and coaching for all registered and non-registered care staff. A day in this role will see you:
- Ensure resident Care Is assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated in accordance with the Pinangba model of care, taking into consideration each client’s physical, social, emotional and clinical needs.
- Assist and inform the Residential Service Manager to ensure that the service meets all accreditation standards.
- Provide clinical service monitoring reports to the registered staff and the cluster governance forum.
- Provide expert advice and support against all key clinical indicators and their application in practice.
- Ensure that all new clinical staff are appropriately oriented to the clinical care services and supported/encouraged in their ongoing professional development.
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
- Post Graduate qualifications in either a Health discipline or Management or working towards is highly desirable.
- Extensive general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of experience.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (ANACC).
- Demonstrated understanding of resident based, person centred care service delivery.
- Extensive clinical care management experience, including experience in Infection control or willingness to undertake training in IPC.
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement practices.
