POSITION PROFILE:
This role provides management and clinical leadership within the Avon Valley (Northam) Midwifery Group practice as an Endorsed Midwife. They will also be responsible for the utilisation of human, financial and material resources for the Midwifery Group Practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effective clinical leadership and management
- Provide advanced and autonomous expert midwifery care to women, babies and families in accordance with Endorsed Midwife legislation and policy
- Maintains excellence in interpersonal skills and leadership to guide appropriate midwifery care.
- Identify opportunities to improve and promote evidence based clinical practice.
- Provide leadership in coordinating and implementing quality improvement activities
- Providing support and education to team members including graduate and student midwives
- Ensure maternity services are provided in a manner sensitive to, and appropriate for, people of Indigenous and other cultural backgrounds.
