Digital Metro North are seeking two dynamic Clinical Midwives / Clinical Nurses, Paediatrics or Neonatal to join the team in a temporary full-time capacity until June 2026. The purpose of this role is to provide expert clinical knowledge in context to maternity services to support implementation of the ieMR (including electronic medications and orders and results reporting for pathology and medical imaging) and associated digital workflows across multiple Metro North Health inpatient and outpatient services, including satellite hospitals and facilities. The preferred applicant will possess a high level of communication and collaboration skills and able to adapt to a rapid changing project environment.
Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with clinical leads and end users across Metro North Health to deliver the Digital Metro North Strategy 2018-32. The strategy aims to ultimately deliver an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North by 2032. Over the next five years, significant capital works are being undertaken, including hospital construction and refurbishment and the implementation of the ieMR Advanced solution across all Metro North facilities. Achieving the aims of the strategy requires a dedicated team with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains and the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver quality results.
Key knowledge and experienceThe ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Provide specialist paediatric nursing and advanced health care knowledge, skills and ability specific to nursing informatics and digital workflows.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and problem-solving relevant to paediatric workflows within the ieMR Care Delivery Stream to facilitate the successful implementation of the ieMR.
- Practise collaboratively with the interprofessional health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and high communication skills are essential.
- Be a member of a high performance team/cohesiveness/mutual trust and respect with a sense of shared purpose.
- Flexible working arrangements such as variable working hours and working from home may be supported.
- Motivated and goal focused with opportunities for coaching, development and career progression within the broader ieMR Project team.
- Travel across Metro North facilities may be required.
