  • Salary: $84,870 - $107,279 p.a. (pro rata) – RN2C - Temporary Part-Time – working 24 hours per week, up until 22 March 2025

About You:

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Clinical Nurse within the Forensic Community Mental Health Service.

This position will offer you professional growth opportunities within a supportive and inclusive culture. In this key position you will demonstrate your experience and previous success working as a Registered Mental Health Nurse to ensure high quality care is delivered to our consumers.

As a Clinical Nurse you will provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study, developing from a competent to proficient practitioner. In this role you will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role continues to be predominantly clinical in nature, however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios, have hands on involvement in the group rehabilitation program and provide case management in close coordination with the multi-disciplinary team.

Forensic Community Mental Health is a statewide service providing supervision to those consumers on forensic licence conditions either through direct case management or through a consultation liaison role.

Clinicians use their Mental Health knowledge and experience and an understanding of the legal framework in this exciting cross sector role.

In this role, Clinical Nurses use their skills and knowledge to work within a multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, consultation liaison and advocacy services  to a variety of stakeholders including other Community Mental Health centres across all LHN’s, the courts, Department of Corrections, SA Police (SAPOL) and a variety of non- government organisations (NGO’s).

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
