Child Youth and Family Health ServicesChild Youth and Family Health Services (CYFHS) is part of the Women's and Children's Service Group within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. CYFHS provide a variety of nursing, therapy, and services through community-based programs.
These programs include:
- Well baby clinics – including health assessments, health promotion and parenting support
- Hospital and Home visiting, including Family CARE program
- Immunisation Clinics and School Based Immunisation
- IMPS Day-Stay Centre
- Evidenced Based Parenting Programs e.g. Circle of Security & Triple P
- Early Intervention Parenting Clinician Service
- School Based Youth Health Nurse (SBYHN) program
- Primary School Health Readiness Program

Role requirements
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a Child Youth and Family Health postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Highly Desirable: Completion of an immunisation course approved by Queensland Health and the ability to complete Townsville Hospital and Health Service Credentialing application for immunisation including knowledge of the Health Management Protocol is highly desirable or the intention to complete an approved immunisation course if successful in the position.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
