ABOUT THE ROLE:

Summary of the role: Clinical Nurse Consultant (Gynae-Oncology)

Competent and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant required for the Gynae-Oncology department within the Specialist Gynaecology Clinics at Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg.

Undertaking an active role in daily gynae-oncology clinics including oncology and colposcopy clinics as well as preparation and involvement in dysplasia multidisciplinary meetings.

• Specialist Gynaecology Unit - Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg
• Permanent part-time, 0.4 EFT, 32 hours/fortnight
• Provide high level nursing assessment, planning and management of gynae-oncology patients attending ambulatory specialist gynaecology clinics
• Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team

ABOUT YOU:

• Unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1 or dual Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife
• Postgraduate qualification in Cancer Nursing
• Masters qualification or working towards
• Excellent clinical skill base and knowledge of cancer nursing
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, IT)
• Experience in leading and teaching nursing staff
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment
