Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
Your Opportunity:
The CNC Hepatology & Liver Transplant augments the multidisciplinary clinical leadership and provide nursing governance in supporting inpatient and outpatient phases of care. Working closely with the medical leads in Hepatology & Liver Transplant, the role actively coordinates the systems established for patient surveillance, access and supports the delivery of subspecialty and integrated medical/surgical clinics.
The CNC is also responsible for maintaining relevant clinical data and audit systems and for the continual evaluation of care delivery systems against international standards and peer review, with a focus on improving access to and the effectiveness of care. In doing so, the CNC will maintain effective networks and support the service in its collaboration with funding and research centres and networks.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with peers, Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Educators, and wider health care team support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of Hepatology & Liver Transplant.
