About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, Orthopaedic Geriatric medical teams, Osteoporosis Nurse Practitioner, and wider multidisciplinary health care team to support the clinical unit in the provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of orthopaedic hip fractures.
• Responsible for clinical leadership for the Orthopaedic services through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care.
• Maintain high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to inform and train the healthcare team of clinical practice updates and research findings within the Orthopaedic area.
• Responsible for the content expertise for Orthopaedic fragility hip fractures to provide the highest standards of safe quality care and clinical nursing practice to meet the requirements for person centred care.
