Employment Term Permanent full-time / commencing ASAP About your opportunity The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant is to provide advanced clinical expertise and to strategically support the team in the delivery of a high standard of patient care through, education, clinical supervision, mentoring, and complex case management to facilitate the provision of comprehensive, individualised, quality care to children through clinical leadership. This also includes building capacity and capability within the workforce and ensuring care is aligned to the Clinical Services Capability Framework. The role will also provide consultancy across the health service on paediatric nursing care. What we are looking for?: Proven ability to provide expert nursing leadership and coordination within an paediatric environment. Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards. Ability to integrate the strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework. Demonstrated advanced leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and change management skills to ensure customer focused service provision amongst the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated high level of communication skills required for problem solving and decision making. Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position. Ability to demonstrate ongoing professional development of self and others. Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles) with demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills. Generous remuneration package value up to $159,899 p.a. comprising and a salary range of $128,701 to $139,732 p.a. Role Requirements Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
