About the role:
The PICU Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and complex consultancy for Paediatric Intensive Care patients throughout the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at John Hunter Hospital and the HNELHD Intensive Care Stream and will provide leadership in state and national specialist clinical groups.
The CNC will maintain and display skills as an expert clinician and role model in Paediatric Critical Care Nursing. They will provide clinical consultancy and coordination of complex PICU patients and facilitate educational opportunities for nurses caring for these patients and their families. They will also lead and participate in research activities relevant to the nursing care of Paediatric Intensive Care patients. You'll be supported in this role by the PICU multi-disciplinary leadership team and will be supported with an individualised orientation program.

Requirements:
- Current Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Completion of a Post Graduate Qualification in Paediatric Intensive Care.
