C l i n i c a l N u r s e E d u c a t o rThe Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for the coordination of clinical care education programs to Aged Care staff based at the Aged Care facility. Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care sector, including funding and policy protocols, and accreditation standards and processes
- Interpret work within the relevant policy guidelines
- Understand the needs of older people, in particular those with cognitive decline
- Coordinate, educate and mentor the clinical staff
You will be able to work independently and professionally with limited supervision. You will also be sensitive to and have experience in multicultural settings, and possess the ability to work within a diverse community. A commitment to providing quality care training and educating care staff is vital along with excellent verbal skills and written communication. You will have a patient, understanding and courteous nature towards co-workers and elderly residents.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Welfare, Nursing or Social Sciences
- Experience in working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- High level of computer literacy with the ability to navigate and input data management systems
- AHPRA Registered Nurse with Aged Care experience
- Part time position - 3 days per week
