About the role:
Child and Family Health - Clinical Nurse Educators play a key role in the provision of community Child and Family Health Services and which provides early contact with families. The service operates across multiple clinics throughout the area and the successful candidate would support all staff at all sites. The base for their work would be the Wallsend Health Campus.
Our skilled team of Registered Nurses have further qualifications in the specialty of Child and Family Health Nursing. They are recognised as practising at an extended level of Nursing working within a primary health care model with families, their newborns, infants and young children. Primary health care aims to promote the health of individuals, families, communities and populations, and promote an environment that supports health in The First 2000 days. Working in partnership with parents is identified as the crucial practice foundation.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the AHPRA.
- Current valid Australian Drivers Licence.
About you:
- You will be passionate and enthusiastic about working with CFHN’s to develop knowledge around evidence based to provide the best possible care to clients and their families.
- You will have extensive experience in CFH Nursing and previous experience delivering education. Essential to the role is an understanding of adult learning and assessment principles.
- You will also require strong organisational and leadership skills and have excellent communication skills and techniques.
- You will be a team player with the ability to work both collaboratively with others and independently.
