A rare and exciting permanent full time opportunity is available to join the team in NICU at Nepean Hospital in the role of Clinical Nurse Educator.
Your role as the Clinical Nurse Educator in consultation with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM), is required to assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical education and staff development programs aimed at developing, maintaining and continually enhancing the clinical skills of staff working in the NICU.
This role will see you liaise with designated professional development program coordinators • To implement and evaluate clinical education programs.

Selection criteria to be addressed: * Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification
- Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
- Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
- Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to working with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
