This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.
To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).

This position will be involved in the provision of quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-3 years of age within a Tresillian service. This will be achieved by working within the Tresillian Model of Care, Practice Principles and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN). The CFHN will use a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of information, education, resources, guidance and role modelling safe responsive care. The child and family health nurse, utilising evidenced based screening and assessment tools, uses their family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerability in order to negotiate individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet the goals of the family.
The Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, trading as Tresillian, was formed in 1918 to coordinate early child and maternal health care services in New South Wales (NSW). Selection Criteria
Demonstrated clinical leadership with proven ability to exercise sound judgment and provide leadership in professional standards, ethics and a commitment to research and innovation.
- Experience in or understanding of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the service system network with a range of stakeholders inclusive of referral processes, care coordination, case management and service promotion.
- Current Driver’s License Class C.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 Immunisation Medical Exemption Form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
