Clinical Nurse Educator, Scrub Scout - Grafton

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions for permanent, temporary and casual positions.

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) coordinates, delivers and evaluates clinical nursing education programs at a ward/service level and provides clinical supervision in order to support development of evidence based, person centred nursing care in line with the standards, policies and procedures of the Ministry of Health and other statutory authorities.

If you have:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse Division 1) and a post graduate qualification in a specialty related to Perioperative Scrub Scout nursing and/or Education
• Demonstrated extensive clinical experience in the perioperative setting with knowledge of the ACORN standards and AS/NZ 4187 standards recent demonstrated teaching/CNE experience
• Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment and adult learning principles including the design, delivery and evaluation of education programs
• Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills including knowledge of competency assessment, decision making frameworks
• Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating and influence others
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence and evidence based care in nursing practice, own professional development and the ability to motivate others
• Knowledge and understanding of person centred care, evidence based practice and quality improvement
• Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse
