About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients in the Emergency Department.
The Clinical Nurse Educator works to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and other clinical staff in the ED and is a role model within their specialty. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of the clinical education needs, professional development and accreditation of staff working within the Emergency Department in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants and the Stream Manager. The Clinical Nurse Educator will ensure all staff has equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence. The Clinical Nurse Educator fosters a learning environment and ensures evidence based practice principles have been utilised in the development of policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring that the education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence and supports a culture of learning and skills attainment in the endeavour to provide the highest level of patient care in line with National Safety Quality Health Standards.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Position Title who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are Manager to include desired experience/attributes.

Selection Criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Heath Professionals Regulatory Agency
- Relevant clinical or education post-graduate qualifications and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area related to their qualifications, or four years post-registration experience including three years’ experience in the Emergency Nursing Field
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools, and approaches including e-learning
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
