To be successful, you will have...
  • Eligibility for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Extensive professional and clinical experience relevant to the role including an ability to work effectively within a rural environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key cultural issues in a rural environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Well-developed clinical problem-solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated coordination of human, physical and clinical resources for delivery of cost-effective health care.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience in Quality Improvement and risk management, it’s practical application in meeting patients’ needs and its relationship to strategic development
Position Profile:
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) – After Hours functions as an agent for the Broome Regional Health Campus, Executive and Senior Leadership team out of hours and assumes responsibility for the Campus out of hours in the absence of senior personnel. Ensures the provision of professional leadership, clinical management and coordination of Broome Regional Health Campus’s After Hours ensuring best practice, high quality, and safe patient care in a rural and remote regional facility.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months ( ).
Area Profile
WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
