At True Relationships & Reproductive Health, we deliver quality health care, expert resources and training, and community education in sexual & reproductive health.
This is a part time position, 48 hours per fortnight.
The opportunity
The role of the Clinic Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for provision of high-quality care to all clients, through effective leadership of the clinical team and through the management of organisational resources.
As our Clinical Nurse Manager, you will:
- Work alongside the Director of Nursing and Counselling, and the Clinical Leadership teams across Queensland to develop and implement strategies to offer client-centred care.
- Provide advanced practice nursing in accordance with Clinical Guidelines and policies.
- Responsible for the development, conduct and quality of ethically sound nursing research projects and quality assurance programs.
- Co-ordinate service delivery for clients and accepts accountability and responsibility for own actions and acts to rectify unsafe nursing practice and/or unprofessional conduct.
Skills we’re looking for:
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of a postgraduate sexual and reproductive health education program or willingness of obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Demonstrated experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health nursing, including an understanding of issues in contemporary nursing practice, education, and primary health needs.
- Completion, or willingness to undertake, the True medication authorisation course to become an Authorised Sexual Health Program Nurse. Maintain knowledge and skills needed to supply and administer medications to clients as per the Extended Practice Authority for Registered Nurses.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and lead the nursing team within a multidisciplinary environment, including the formulation and implementation of policies, business planning, projects, report compilation and resource management.
- Ability to effectively manage and develop staff.
