We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and develop the clinical team and to manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality care for all residents at Bethanie Waters, our aged care home located in Port Kennedy.
Reporting to the Facility Manager and working closely with your peers, you will play a key role in driving the customer experience across the broader Bethanie Waters site. This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About the role:
- Relieve the Facility Manager as required, including on –call and scheduled leave
- Support the Registered and Enrolled Nurses to effectively develop and lead the clinical team
- Assess competency of all clinical staff on an ongoing basis (including performance appraisals) and implement the necessary training and mentoring where necessary
- Establish professional relationships with all new and existing residents and their families to ensure the clinical team provide client directed care
- Conduct/Participate in client review and client meetings
- Work in conjunction with the Clinical Governance team to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical services that are in line with the Accreditation Standards and develop action plans to meet identified areas of improvement
- Report, analyse, review and implement quality improvement strategies
- Investigate feedback and complaints and ensure timely feedback as per Bethanie Policy
- Undertake internal audits as per audit schedule
Required qualification, skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Nursing; plus relevant post graduate qualification to the level of associate degree or above
- Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- IPC Lead qualification is highly regarded
- Comprehensive experience in leading and coordinating a diverse, multi-skilled team with advanced interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated management experience including staff performance management; service provision, active participation in quality assurance activities that inform the continuous improvement cycle to ensure excellent resident outcomes and compliance with accreditation standards
- Demonstrated high level working knowledge of clinical risk reporting, data analysis and report writing
- Demonstrated comprehensive and high-level working knowledge of Accreditation standards and Funding tools, as well as the new Aged Care Standards
- Active participation in mentorship and training (including teaching and supervising delegated tasks to other employees, including carers and students)
