About the role
Mater Health Brisbane Operating Theatres have two exciting opportunities for experienced Clinical Nurses within our Orthopaedics Scrub/Scout and Plastics/Reconstructive Surgery & Maxillofacial Surgery teams.
Both positions are permanent full time, 38 hours per week.
Salary range: $52.63 - $56.38 (Registered Nurse Level 2) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging.
What you'll be doing
As an experienced Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and effective service is provided to patients and Visiting Medical Officer's within Operating Theatre Services. This will be achieved by providing clinical expertise, direct support, and education to staff within the department, with a clear focus on the patient experience and quality of services.
About you
Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery - Scrub/Scout
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Extensive scrub-scout experience in Plastics and Reconstructive surgery & Maxillofacial surgery (Minimum 3 years)
  • Strong knowledge of ACORN & NSQHS Standards
  • Experience initiating and leading quality projects
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
Orthopaedics - Scrub/Scout
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
