Job description

CRVCID587142

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time appointments. Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, and casual appointments may also be available.

We are building Acute Care & Response Teams (ACRT) to serve the north, south and east metro regional areas. The current vacancies are on our East ACRT which serves the Bentley, Armadale and Midland areas. If you are only interested in north or south metro regional areas, please apply and nominate your preferred location, and we will reach out to you when available vacancies arise.

About the Acute Care & Response Team (ACRT):

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is set to transform its services in line with ICA Taskforce recommendations. The ACRT is a new service model, arising from the Infant, Child and Adolescent Taskforce. The team will provide a step up in intensity of service to children and adolescents experiencing a crisis or deterioration in their mental health. This will include assessment, safety planning and short-term stabilisation, planning for ongoing care, and supplementary care for children with severe and enduring mental ill health to provide the care the child needs in a community setting reducing the need for hospital presentations. The East ACRT will provide a service to children and adolescents who live in the eastern region of the Perth metropolitan area (Bentley, Swan, Midland, Armadale).

As mental health conditions can deeply impact the emotional and social well-being of children and their families, our holistic and child-centered approach is designed to assist families and is focused on participation and engagement.

As a clinician on the team, you’ll be required to conduct home and community visits during business hours and on a rostered basis, including after hours and on weekends, based on operational needs. You’ll be part of a team that prioritises patient and staff safety and receive training and ongoing supervision.
