Form of workThe Metro South Public Health Unit are looking for a Clinical Nurse to join their team. Metro South Public Health Unit’s primary role is to promote health, prevent disease and manage risk for our whole community (population health).

About the Role
The Metro South Public Health Unit Communicable Disease team provide coordination, expertise and support to health care providers and the community in the Metro South Health area.
The Clinical Nurse role works autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of Public Health specialist nursing care.
• Provide expert clinical leadership in patient's/resident's/client's assessment, care planning and practice and role model to and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Responsible for and able to function in complex situations while providing support and direction to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate a high level of clinical critical thinking and problem-solving skills, applying theory into nursing practice in the provision of best practice.
• Proactively engage with the nurse leaders and healthcare team to achieve best practice outcomes within the work unit environment.
