A fantastic chance awaits a Clinical Nurse experienced working within a Special Care Nursery and seeking an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of neonates and their families at a private hospital located on the Gold Coast. It is a full-time opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Within this role, you will be part of the team that provides a supportive and compassionate environment for expectant mothers and their newborns.
As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Providing direct nursing care to infants in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed;
- Being confident in supporting and caring for babies from 32 weeks;
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant;
- Educating and supporting families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and strategies for promoting infant development;
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures;
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Experience with CPAP, Nasogastric Feeding and Neonatal Ventilation;
- Post Grad Qualification – Neonate Intensive Care;
- At least 5 years of experience in neonatal nursing or a related specialty;
- Current certification in ALS;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment;
- Commitment to providing compassionate and family-centered care to infants and their families.

REMUNERATION
$53.00 - $57.00p/h
