About the role:
This position will see you enjoy a varied workload, where you will be responsible for providing individualised patient care across our General and Emergency Wards. You will assist with the provision of education for novice nurses as they transition into emergency nursing.
You will lead the exciting change of our Emergency Department redevelopment and will take on a senior leadership role. You will receive a full orientation and induction, as well as ongoing training and education opportunities.
You will primarily work Monday – Friday, with the potential for shift work at times.

This role will be located within Gunnedah Hospital’s General and Emergency Wards. We are a small, supportive team and we are looking forward to welcoming you!
About You:
We are looking for a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience working within an Emergency Department. You will be well versed in change management and have confidence in your ability to build and maintain external relationships.

Requirements:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in Emergency or General or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.

- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
