Clinical Nurse Specialist – Oncology Ward | Sydney

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Oncology Ward at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a permanent full-time position.ABOUT THE ROLEIn this role, you will:

• Act as a clinical and professional resource within the Oncology team;
• Demonstrate broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all facets of patient care;
• Contribute to the education of staff at all levels;
• Participate in department orientation, in-training, and clinical competency programs;
• Make a valuable contribution to the hospital’s contribution to the hospital’s continuous improvement; processes as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Haematology/Oncology;
• Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration;
• Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients;
• Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes;
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

REMUNERATIONOn offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $50.29 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.ABOUT THE FACILITYThe hospital, located in Sydney, is an acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and obstetric services.
