Form of workThe Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is a world class specialist hospital in eye and ear care providing services across Victoria. As Australia’s only specialist eye, ear, nose and throat hospital, the Eye and Ear has been providing care for the senses for 150 years. The Eye and Ear has almost 60 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24-hour emergency eye and ear, nose and throat service. Every year the Eye and Ear cares for over 220,000 patients, with over 160,000 outpatients, nearly 44,000 emergency patients and over 17,000 inpatients. The hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment to create a modern internal structure and to improve access for patients, visitors and staff.

About the Role
Specialist Clinics are looking for a Registered Nurse with skills in Opthomalogy and ENT to work in our clinics. Clinical Nurse Specialist will be considered for the right candidate, with appropriate education and skills.
Our mutual goal is to improve and maintain a person’s optimal independence within the community. We work closely with Medical, Orthoptic and Audiology staff to provide patient centered care based on current best practice.
Our clinics run Monday through Friday and we are looking for staff that are positive, have an ability to think on their feet and good time managers. We can provide structured training and education, based on your needs, to facilitate your move to our team.
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a working with children check (if applicable) and evidence of vaccination status. All staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses) and for clinical staff, patient facing staff and staff working in clinical areas, it is a mandatory requirement to provide evidence of a current influenza vaccination.
