YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
The Infectious Diseases (ID) Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) provides support to the ID AMS Nurse Practitioner (NP) in all aspects of ID Unit AMS activities including: AMS rounds, antibiotic allergy assessments, clinical trials and research. This position would suit a Registered Nurse meeting Clinical Nurse Specialist classification criteria range dependent on experience) with minimum 4 years post registration, with experience in cancer or ID who is looking to work towards a masters, AMS NP role and/or PhD. The role will provide some exposure to Health Services Research through the National Centre for Infections in Cancer (NCIC) and clinical trials in the co-ordination and clinical research and nursing support for antibiotic allergy clinical trials conducted through the ID antibiotic allergy clinic. Hours are 80/fortnight standard business hours, and does not include shift allowances. The position is full time fixed term for 2 years pending 6 week probationary period. All specialist training (eg antibiotic allergy assessments, AMS activities, clinical trial activities) will be provided.
