The opportunity 

Sun, BEACH & picturesque DAYS, on offer is a permanent part time Oncology Pharmacist position working 22.8 hours per week leaving you an abundance of free time to enjoy all the beauty of Western Australia has to offer. HPS Pharmacies is a renowned health provider committed to providing top-quality service and excellent customer service to our community. Due to NEW business growth an exciting opportunity presents itself for an Oncology Pharmacist or aspiring Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at HPS Pharmacies, Mandurah. This role is a permanent part time opportunity working 22.8 hours across Tuesday - Friday

This Clinical Oncology role will require you to:

  • Provide Clinical oncology services, such as:
    • patient counselling
    • reviews of patients treatment protocols/regimes
    • reviews of patient pathology results
    • dose reduction calculations
    • reporting
  • Work with Baxter for ordering and supply of sterile compounded medications and treatments
  • Manage imprest supplies for the day infusion centre and radiation oncology department including ordering, receipting and correctly storing inventory
  • Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team in providing patient centred care and expert professional knowledge
  • Manage Compassionate access, cost-share programs and clinical trial services (as required)
  • Assist with business and process improvement.

About you:

  • Current AHPRA Pharmacy Registration 
  • Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff
  • A high level of attention to detail and precision in record keeping
  • The ability to organise complex tasks and solve problems
  • A patient-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude
  • A desire to learn and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry
  • A vibrant personality and excellent Verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment
  • Current vaccinations as per Public Health Orders & client requirements​​​​
  • Previous clinical or hospital experience in an oncology setting is highly advantageous
  • Qualifications in Clinical Oncology, or the ability to attend relevant courses
