Clinical Or General Psychologist Position

This role meets all the requirements for your AHPRA registrar program.

Next Door Psychology are a well-established thriving business in the heart of Werribee, in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.  We have numerous links with local GPs and referral sources and our practice is expanding.  Our team are supportive, approachable and friendly, providing mental health support to clients who present to the practice.  We have a range of treatment modalities, and also provide a range of assessment opportunities to our clients.  Our director, Alison Mynard, is a very experienced Clinical Psychologist and is able to provide supervision and training to a Psychologist seeking to gain their Clinical endorsement through the Registrar Program. We are also looking for a qualified General Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist to join our team. 

• We will provide individual and group supervision with a board approved supervisor to obtain your Clinical Registration.
• You will have access to mentoring and training in the use of a range of clinical psychology and neuropsychological tests.
• We provide mentoring from experienced Clinical Psychologists to assist you to develop career goals and establish yourself in the areas of work you find most meaningful, following your areas of passion.
• Working with a wide range of client presentations, this is the opportunity to develop your skills and meet the core competencies to meet the core competencies of your registrar program.
• We offer a gradual build-up of case load to make sure that you have sufficient time to learn and manage new client presentations.
• We have a broad range of client presentations including working with issues including people with general psychological presentations, refugees and asylum seekers, people with forensic and drug and alcohol issues, chronic pain, NDIS participants, Work Cover, TAC and VOCAT clients.

• Our Clinical Psychologist Supervisor is able to mentor you in a range of therapy modalities, including CBT, Schema Therapy, Trauma Based Therapies, including EMDR and Sensori-motor Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, Mindfulness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.  We also train you in assessments and case formulation, and can offer training in assessments for forensic, family court or other report writing, including cognitive assessments.
• We do offer group sessions to clients in areas of interest to the Psychologist, in order to develop those skills in group work if you are interested in running groups.
• We can offer either Salary positions or Contract positions, that are above award rates with generous splits to the Psychologist.

Graduate Position: Clinical Psychology Registrar Position: 

This position is available for a General Psychologist who has completed their Masters in Clinical Psychology, and is seeking endorsement in the field of Clinical Psychology.  We offer to provide Clinical supervision for the Registrar Program to develop skills across all core competencies outlined by AHPRA, including different clinical therapeutic models and work across the lifespan. 

Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists: 

We are also looking for a General Psychologist and a Clinical Psychologist to join our team, who can work between 2-5 days per week.  Our hours are flexible and we work with the requirements of each team member (eg fitting in with school drop-off and pick-ups). Psychologists who are either early in their career or more experienced psychologists are both welcome to apply for the position.
