Clinical or General Psychologist 

Prom Health is a rural multi-disciplinary health clinic. It started 5 years ago originally as an osteopathy clinic and has begun offering a broader range of services to help meet the needs of the local community. Since mid-2023 we have relocated into a newly renovated premises with 6 consultation rooms. 

With our growing practice, we are looking for General and Clinical Psychologists to join our team. 

About the area 

We are located in Foster, South Gippsland, close to Wilson’s Promontory National Park. The area is characterised by green rolling hills. There is nature and stunning beaches aplenty. 

We are in a farming region with a strong influence of sport, art and sustainability. There are many small towns about 10-15 minutes apart that are incredibly supportive and inclusive. 

Foster has a large medical centre with 14+ GP’s and provides an excellent standard of service. We work closely alongside the medical centre. 

About Us 

At Prom Health, we focus on providing high-quality service to clients. We are in the process of developing a team of like-minded professionals who genuinely care about client needs, take pride in their work and enjoy working with a close-knit team. 

As you will be the first psychologist to join our team, we are yet to understand everything about what’s involved in your profession, but we are eager to learn and work with you. You will have autonomy in the way that you practice, but with the support of a motivated and professional team. Help us to shape our systems and processes to optimise your work environment. 

We have renovated our practice with the aim of providing ideal working conditions to support our practitioners' well-being so that they can avoid unnecessary stress and enjoy their job. We have gone to great lengths to provide plenty of natural lighting, ergonomic workspaces, an outdoor staff area and more. 

Over the next 1-2 years, we aim to recruit 2-4 psychologists to cover a broad range of mental health conditions and to create a team of mental health professionals that can support each other.

Who We Are Looking For 

We are interested in recruiting practitioners either as subcontractors or employees. 

Renumeration will be above the general standard. It will be guided by your level of qualification and client-load. As a subcontractor remuneration will be approximately $110-150 per hour. As an employee, a full-time wage will be between $100,000 and $140,000. 

Team members with long-term commitment to the clinic may be offered a share in the company.

• Rear car park for staff, with private access to staff room. Enter or exit the building without walking through the reception area.

• Fully equipped rehab gym (available for personal use). 
• Staff rates on in-house treatment.

How to Apply 

We are looking for individuals who are appropriately qualified. Successful applicants will meet the following criteria: 

• At minimum, general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA. 
• ABN registration. 
• Professional indemnity insurance. 
• Medicare registration.
