What you'll be doing
The provision and management of Clinical Pharmacy services as outlined in the position description and to work in all areas of the pharmacy department.
To provide pharmaceutical services within the boundaries of relevant legislation and policies to patients of the MNCLHD with the objective of providing best quality outcomes.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

Current unrestricted registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. A Pharmacist who has, after registration, not less than three years experience in hospital pharmacy and can demonstrate competency in at least one of the essential competency criteria and three other competency criteria as per the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award 2017 will be classified as a Pharmacist Grade 2.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in the provision of clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
Demonstrated good knowledge of therapeutics and an understanding of the process of medication reconciliation.
Demonstrate highly developed skills in accuracy, attention to detail, computer literacy and proven ability to learn and adapt to new electronic programs.
Proven ability to participate as part of a multidisciplinary team and possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to participate in ongoing professional development, education and Quality improvement activities.
