This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists to join our Neonatology team.

In this role you will perform a clinical, consultant, education and research psychology service with children and families within the multidisciplinary and professional team context of the Neonatology Service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform psychological assessments to appraise cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning of children and their families, i.e. interview, systemic observations, psychometric and psycho-diagnostic assessments and evaluation of systems.
  • Undertake individual, group and team interventions of a specialist nature with children and their families, i.e. psychotherapy, systemic intervention, psycho-education and cognitive behaviour therapy.
  • Provide consultation on psychological matters to colleagues/other professionals.
  • Liaise with community agencies regarding clinical management of clients.
  • Supervise Clinical Psychology trainees.
  • Provide education and training on psychological matters within the discipline and across disciplines. May conduct tertiary level education programs in specialist field(s).

To be considered for this role, you must have a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and be eligibile for full registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
