Western Kids Health is a dynamic, multidisciplinary paediatric private practice, with its headquarters located in Shenton Park. Founded in 2018 and working with children, adolescents and young adults, Western Kids Health provides evidence-based and quality care in a multidisciplinary model.
In addition to psychology, our services include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology and dietetics. We are passionate about multidisciplinary team care and have whole team meetings frequently, informal daily meeting times, and pre-allocated time for peer supervision.
As a Clinical Psychologist you have the opportunity to provide supervision to registrars and mental health OT’s. As a Clinical Psychologist registrar you will receive weekly supervision from an endorsed Clinical Psychologist.
About the role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) to join our team in April/May depending on the availability of the successful candidate. There are part-time and full-time positions available, however we require a minimum of 3 days per week. You will be based in our new headquarters in Shenton Park (Victoria house).
As a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) at Western Kids Health, you will provide therapy to a diverse clientele. We work with a unique model in which clinicians are allocated to (multiple) specialised clinics. This provides you with the opportunity to become an expert in multiple psychological fields. At present, we are looking for someone who would be interested to work in the following clinics:
- Mental Health Clinic:
In this clinic you will work with clients who present with anxiety- and mood disorders, behavioural concerns, developmental concerns, sleep, self-esteem, perfectionism difficulties, ADHD and ASD. - Complex Care Clinic:
In this clinic you will work with clients diagnosed with complex medical conditions (such as, but not limited to: Chronic Pain and FND). - Gender Diversity Clinic:
In this clinic you will work with clients who experience confusion around their gender, sexuality or present as gender diverse or transgender.
You will be working with individual clients as well as helping to facilitate some external and internal groups. We will provide training and supervision with experienced staff across all three clinics.
The successful candidate will have:
Essential
- General registration with AHPRA with clinical psychology endorsement OR eligibility for registration as a Clinical Psychologist Registrar
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and their parents
- Competent at using a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current WWCC and Police Clearance or willing to obtain
- Willing to obtain a Medicare provider number
