Clinical Support (Ain / Aha) Mnc Virtual Care - Port Macquarie

This position works with individuals and their families, health practitioners and communities to support patients and link them to health and other services. This position requires good skills in communication, identifying and solving barriers in access to care, collaborative problem solving and knowledge of referral to health services.

The primary purpose of MNC Virtual Care is to reduce preventable admissions and decrease length of hospital stay through Urgent Care service delivery, early intervention, and care navigation to people who have been identified as at risk of presentation and hospitalisation for low acuity conditions that can be safely managed over a virtual platform.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at

1. Successful completion of a relevant Certificate III (or higher) qualification in Health Services Assistance, for example the current course HLT33115 Certificate III Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or have completed 1 full-time or more years training as an undergraduate nursing student. OR Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant or relevant qualification or Current enrolment in and successful completion of at least 2 semesters of a relevant Allied Health Bachelor Degree, as determined by the hiring manager with a satisfactory academic record and completion of at least 2 clinical placements, or current enrolment in and successful completion of at least 1 semester of a relevant Allied Health Master Degree, as determined by the hiring manager with a satisfactory academic record and completion of at least 1 clinical placement.
2. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
3. Demonstrated effective clinical communication and willingness to learn new information technology applications, including written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, utilizing a broad range of technology platforms.
4. Demonstrated ability to work under supervision and provide care within a multidisciplinary care setting.
5. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by the supervising professional.
6. Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
7. Current NSW driver’s license and willingness to travel.
