Clinical Support Midwife - Part Time

48 hours per fortnight

The Role: 

The Clinical Support Midwife (CSM) works as part of the Education team, with designated areas across clinical services, flexing to support other Clinical Support Midwives as required.
Undertaking the role, the CSM works with undergraduate students, graduates and less experienced/novice or newly appointed staff, enabling ongoing development of clinical competence. The CSM also provides support to midwives who are supervising undergraduate students, graduates and less experienced/novice or newly appointed staff.

This position is part-time, 48 hours per fortnight.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Specialist Expertise:
• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife without conditions
• Post graduate qualification in relevant speciality or equivalent expertise
• Current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or willingness to complete within 12 months
• Proficiency in evidence-based practice
• Extensive knowledge of Clinical Support models
• Ability to undertake assessments and provide verbal and written feedback
• Experience in designing and implementing learning management / professional development plans
