We have several, exciting opportunities to join the Nursing and Midwifery Education team as a Clinical Support Nurse with our Medical/Surgical program, at Monash Health. These are leadership positions, will develop and facilitate education, training and support to all nursing staff.
  • Clinical education focus – surgical ward nursing staff support
  • Fixed Term part-time/full time until June 2023
  • Rotating shifts, 7 days /week

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for nurses with extensive clinical experience, to join the NaMES team as a Clinical Support Nurse (CSN). We require highly skilled clinicians with a passion for education who will be responsible for providing clinical and educational support to nursing staff across Monash Health, with a particular focus on the nursing workforce in our surgical wards.

Some of the specific accountabilities will include:
  • Provision of contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
  • Clinical bedside support to nurses
  • Demonstrating and promoting best practice standards
  • The ability to create learning opportunities for staff through empowering education
  • Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care
  • Effective communication and escalation
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
What You Bring:

Working closely with key stakeholders you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge:
  • Recent relevant clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing
  • Completion of postgraduate qualifications in nursing, or working towards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A sound understanding of clinical supervision, clinical assessment and advanced clinical practice
