About the role:
We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Clinical Support Officer to join our dedicated team within the Urology Unit. As a vital member of our healthcare support system, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless administrative operations that directly contribute to positive healthcare outcomes for our patients and visitors. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including supporting our clinical team with essential administrative functions, and assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with rostering, recruitment, audits, and educational planning for our nursing staff. From 3:30 PM until the end of your shift at 5:00 PM, you will handle ward clerk duties, ensuring efficient operations during critical hours. You'll be instrumental in preparing agendas and recording minutes for ward staff meetings, providing valuable support to the Nursing Unit Manager as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Surgical Services Department and work within a dynamic Urology Ward alongside our team of Nurses, Doctors, and Allied Health Staff.
John Hunter Hospital is located within the Hunter New England Local Health District and is nestled between multiple beautiful beaches and the magnificent Hunter Valley vineyards which are just an hour’s drive away. The hospital has direct access to public transport and is close to numerous public schools and several major shopping centres.
