About STAREE
STAREE ( ) is a double-blind, randomised primary prevention trial investigating whether daily active treatment of Atorvastatin versus placebo will enhance disability-free survival (death, dementia and disability) and prevent major cardiovascular outcomes in healthy participants aged 70 years and over. The trial is primarily funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trial Officer to join the 'STAtins in Reducing Events in the Elderly' (STAREE) Clinical Trial based in Brisbane. We are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Clinical Trial Officer, responsible for engaging and collaborating with GPs to enlist them as co-investigators in our ground-breaking study.
As the key support for STAREE's principal investigators and project manager, the Clinical Trial Officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of trial conduct and implementation. This includes interaction with internal and external stakeholders, such as physicians, nursing staff and trial participants in general practices and hospitals. This role will cover a significant region in Queensland, predominantly on the Sunshine coast up to Hervey Bay, with the occasional travel to assist in Northern New South Wales, including the possibility of overnight stays.
We are seeking some who can demonstrate a proven ability to solve problems innovatively and employ diagnostic skills within their functional responsibilities or professional expertise. Prioritization of tasks in a dynamic environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively is essential. If you have a knack for travel, confidence in approaching general practice clinics and a background in sales, this would also be a valuable asset.
