Clinical Trial Pharmacist

Key Points:

• Permanent part-time (Monday to Thursday) or full-time opportunity

This is the opportunity to work with an experience Clinical Trial Pharmacist at the forefront of delivering investigational product management support for Clinical Trials across Australia.   You will be a key member in multi-faceted clinical team ensuring patients and trial participants receive their medicines in accordance with the Clinical Trial protocol.

The opportunity:
Dispense and manage investigational product for Clinical Trials in accordance with the Protocol

Prepare and maintain documents for Clinical Trials, including pharmacy manuals, randomisations lists and investigational product logs.

Work with leading clinical investigators, trial sponsors and clients in the set up and management of investigational product for Clinical Trials

Support the operation of the community pharmacy, including managing non-PBS script dispensing and limited over the counter medicines

Key responsibilities: 

• Assist in the management of the retail pharmacy in accordance with Pharmacy Board requirements
• Dispense and supply investigational medication for Clinical Trials
• Counsel patients in accordance with the study protocol and patient consent form
• Actively participate in project meetings to set up the trial and develop associated pharmacy documentation
• Monitor the storage of the medicine in accordance with the approved temperature
• Counsel patients and develop counselling advice for new Clinical Trials
• Ensure repeats are followed up on and participate in the reconciliation of unused medicines

Who are we looking for?

• AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous dispensing experience in an Australian based pharmacy
• Previous experience in dispensing for Clinical Trials would be highly regarded
• Previous hospital or community pharmacy experience
• Be flexible and adaptable working with a diverse team
• Embrace change and commit to learning
