About your new role
We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our infrastructure. As a Cloud Architect at the City of Gold Coast, you will work with cutting-edge technologies like Terraform, Azure, AWS and GitLab to streamline our development and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

About you
Most importantly, you will have experience in a similar Cloud Architect position and the willingness to continue learning new skills and technologies. Fundamental understanding of Cloud platforms, and proven experience in designing and architecting cloud solutions, particularly Azure.
You will have strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. Your ability to play a role in a cross-functional team will allow you to collaborate and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
In addition, the following skills/experience are not essential however, will be advantageous:
- Demonstrated experience in a Cloud Architect or similar role
- Experience/knowledge in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Certified Azure Solution Architect
- Solid scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
