Your new role

As a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and governing the architecture of our Cloud and data centre infrastructure environment. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing Infrastructure Architecture for various projects, ensuring alignment with cloud strategy and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Partners, Strategy, Data and Architecture teams, Cyber Security, vendors, and technical specialists to enhance business continuity, flexibility, and security.

Key requirements of the role

• Deliver the approved Cloud Strategy, prioritising Future Energy architecture and design solutions.
• Collaborate with various architectural teams to achieve outcomes outlined in the Cloud Strategy Roadmap.
• Provide oversight of cloud subscriptions, emphasizing proactive cost optimization.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Team to integrate security expectations into designs and ensure ongoing security maintenance.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of associated strategies.
• Offer architecture guidance for infrastructure and application systems to ensure interoperability and a robust environment.
• Engage with key business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligning with standards and guidelines.
• Guide MSP and technical specialists in projects and decision-making processes.
• Ensure adherence to CS Energy Policies, Procedures, and Standards during design and implementation.
• Work with MSP and technical specialists to ensure architecture requirements are met for new solutions.
• Provide direction for monitoring and reporting tools.
• Implement information security processes and systems to safeguard information and data assets.
• Serve as an escalation point for Cloud and server infrastructure systems.
• Evaluate operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and guide implementation of enhancements.
• Support CS Energy’s change management process and ensure alignment with business needs.
