About the Role
Join the ARDC Nectar Cloud Services team and be at the forefront of developing our cloud infrastructure! Help operate and enhance our OpenStack-based cloud, support research collaborations, and contribute to the growth of national and international research initiatives. If you're passionate about advancing research through cutting-edge technology, this could be the role for you.Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate within a small team to develop enhancements and maintain operations for the Nectar Research Cloud
• Stay informed about cloud computing trends and relevant tools to enhance and deploy improvements
• Enhance automation, security, and system management processes for the Nectar Research Cloud continually
• Design, test, and implement system upgrades, releases, and patches for the Nectar Research Cloud

Who we are looking for
You should be experienced in software design and cybersecurity best practices. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and AI augmented development tools is desirable.You will also have:

• Tertiary qualification in a computer science or engineering related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
• Experience using version control & development CI/CD tools such as git, Gerrit and Jenkins
• Working knowledge of relevant areas such as programming in Python, Web services, including HTTP and REST principles on Linux platforms
