We are looking a strong leader to empower our Cloud Engineering team working on our core cloud platform and services. You will work in partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team to deliver robust and automated solutions whilst managing the deployment of secure software releases.

- Leading the Cloud Engineering team who provide DevOps related support and tooling across Operations and Product Development. Ensure services are secure and allow consumers to become more autonomous and independent.
- Partnering with Enterprise Architecture and help define Cloud Engineering strategy, best practices and procedures.
- Increasing self-service through the delivery of shared solutions available across product and testing teams.
- Achieving this through automation, reusable deployment systems and mutable infrastructure.
- Be at the heart of the teams technical development as you translate business problems into technical solutions, while guiding deliverables to plan and mentoring engineers
- Maintaining the Cloud platform product roadmap and showcase deliverables to stakeholders across the group.
- Be a trusted advisor to development and operation teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Building a strong relationship with AWS account management and technical resources.
You’ll be a success in this role if you can bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering (or related)
- Hands on experience with AWS
- Deliver detailed cloud cost analysis and charge back methodologies and drive opportunities for cost savings and usage optimisation
- Experience leading dispersed development teams
- Strong technical skills. Must be able to engage with architecture and technical resources
- Very strong written and verbal communication
- Experience in agile and lean environments
- Experience delivering continuous improvement.
