The Maintenance & Engineering Manager role is a key Leadership position which sits within the site leadership team and is responsible for developing and driving the Engineering department strategy to align with the businesses overall strategy and Kraft Heinz Management System guidelines. The Engineering Manager is integral to supporting Production targets in addition to successful delivery of Capex Projects.
Key Responsibilities
People
- Plan- organise and drive Engineering objectives through effective leadership and direction
- Develop team capabilities through mentoring- coaching and leading by example
- Take a lead in ensuring departmental engagement
Safety Environmental
- Collectively drive all Safety and Environmental initiates with Site Leadership Team
- Ensure maintenance procedures and all equipment meet product safety requirements
Service Cost
- Manage site Engineering budget to achieve financial targets
Manufacturing Excellence
- Lead the successful implementation- delivery and maintenance of KHMS - Kraft Heinz Management System
- Manage engineering systems- processes and documentation to ensure nominated FSQ – Golden Rules & QRMP standards are adhered to and maintained
- Drive continuous improvement
Innovation
- Create and deliver to Site Engineering Strategy with innovation as a key objective
- Oversea and ensure the successful delivery of all capital projects
About You
- Food industry and/or packaging experience desirable
- MDWT / Lean Manufacturing experience with the focus on Continuous Improvement
- Engineering degree or equivalent or a relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in Engineering Management roles preferably in the Food Industry- FMCG environment or related industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S and EPA regulations and systems
- Successful leadership of semi-autonomous work teams
- SAP experience desirable
