THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Digital Technology Group Manager, The Cloud Services System Engineer is responsible for the administration of cloud systems and services, ensuring the company's cloud infrastructure, mainly Azure, is fully functional while providing hands-on technical expertise to the business.

The Cloud Services Systems Engineer is responsible for managing the instances of cloud infrastructure services, integrating and optimising cloud computing services that house and serve a company's information, programs, and platforms.

The position will provide leadership around managing the company's cloud infrastructure as an extension of the on-premises infrastructure. The Cloud Services System Engineer is responsible for but not limited to, the development of cloud-specific management standards, processes, and governance.

The role requires close collaboration with business users, vendors, and technical personnel in the team to deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions. This is a diverse and hands-on Cloud Services solution design and administration.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure services and solutions meet business requirements, are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and application integration documentations.
• Document existing services and maintain accurate records of process, procedure and implemented policy.
• Perform Technology Cloud infrastructure support and level 1/2/3 configuration tasks.
• Evaluate and deploy policies and configurations to meet business requirements as well as security requirements.
• Review technical solution architecture for new projects/systems implementation to provide advice and ensure alignment with company technology standards and principles.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, cloud application and services integration documentations.
• Design, development, test, and support new service configuration and policies
• Provide technical expertise and manage Azure AD and cloud related services.
• Work closely with Cyber security, SharePoint, Power BI, and Data integration engineer to deliver on business requirements and needs.
• Adhere to change management procedures and processes. 
• Development, implementation, and management of policy system integration
• Optimize the provisioning, management and administration of end user devices using Microsoft cloud MDM services (Intune)

ABOUT YOU:

• Tertiary qualification in the form of an IT, Computer Science or Engineering Degree
• Cloud-related Certification (Azure, AWS, Google)
• Previous experience in the below fields:
  • Infrastructure system administration and support
  • developing and supporting Cloud Services  solutions
  • delivery of operation data integration service environment
  • ETL and data integration tools
• Good communication skills
• Service, project and results orientation, with strong analytical and problem-solving background.
• High-energy work ethic, ability to establish vision, drive change and deliver results
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
• Current C Class Australian Driver’s License
