Field Service Engineer - Medical Imaging Equipment

Job Description:

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs the customer's equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence with one the world's leading Medical Imaging Manufacturers.

Desired Characteristics:

The successful applicant will possess excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.  A high level of customer service is required along with the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

-       Advanced, total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair on x-ray equipment.

-       Completing Preventative Maintenance and Functional Management Inspections. Ordering and managing repair parts and materials.

-       Sound knowledge of computer systems and DICOM modality configuration.

-       Maintaining up to date administrative responsibilities such as job cards and internal service records in a timely manner.

-       Maintaining daily communications with customers and management to ensure resolution and correct  follow-up procedures.

-       Adhere to all Health and Safety, and/or other applicable regulatory requirements.

-       Managing vendor service delivery processes in compliance with Shimadzu Medical procedures and policies.

-       Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues that will lead to effective problem solving.

-       Participating in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.

-       Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost effective service delivery.

-       Teach and assist other Field Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes, provide training to other staff if required.

-       Drivers Licence

-       Relevant EPA radiation Licence

The following attributes will be highly regarded:

-       Experience with complex mechanical and electronic systems

-       Qualifications in Biomedical Engineering

-       Qualifications in Electronic/Electrical Engineering

-       Qualifications in DICOM and Computer systems
